About Me

I am a licensed professional counselor serving clients in Boulder, Denver and the surrounding area as a play therapist, parent coach and mentor. I have worked with children, adolescents and young adults for over 20 years. Extensive training in brain development and regulation of the nervous system enables me to assess and treat the emotional and biological origins of a behavioral challenge.

I believe all behavior has meaning and purpose. I believe also in the innate wisdom of my clients. I strive to provide a safe place where my clients can fully express themselves, discover the many facets of their personalities and learn who they truly are. I help facilitate their awareness and provide tools and strategies to help connect and empower them. My goal is to assist them in discovering and connecting to their true selves, their parents, caregivers, siblings and the world around them. As a result, our work together will foster emotional growth and the self-confidence to pursue their highest potential.

The natural beauty of this area invigorates me and inspires me in my work. In my spare time I enjoy exploring the Colorado outdoors on foot, mountain bike or snowboard.

“We already have everything we need. There is no need for self improvement. All these trips that we lay on ourselves — the heavy duty fearing that we’re bad and hoping that we’re good, the identities that we so dearly cling to, the rage, the jealousy and addictions of all kinds — never touch our basic wealth. They are like clouds that temporarily block the sun. But all the time our warmth and brilliance are right here. This is who we really are. We are one blink of an eye away from being fully awake.”  — Pema Chodrin
